Who I help
I support KS3 (Years 7-9) and GCSE students (AQA, Edexcel and IB exam boards), particularly those who:
- Lack confidence in maths
- Feel 'stuck' or behind in class
- Are working towards improving exam grades
- Need structured, calm and consistent support
- Want to feel more prepared for assessments and exams
I also support selected KS3 science students.
About Me
I am a qualified maths teacher of over 10 years with extensive experience in both classroom teaching and school leadership.
I have previously worked as:
- Head of Mathematics Faculty
- Head of Year
- Head of Pupil Wellbeing
- Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
Alongside this, I currently tutor students through school-based and private tuition settings.
My experience means I understand not only the academic side of learning maths, but also the confidence, motivation and mindset challenges that often hold students back.
Regularly revisit learning to ensure long-term retention
Strengthen exam technique and problem-solving skills
Build confidence through guided practice
Break down topics into clear, manageable steps
Identify and close knowledge gaps
Online Sessions
All sessions take place online, making lessons flexible, convenient and accessible from home.
Students will need:
- A device with internet access (not a mobile phone)
- A web camera (if not already integrated into a laptop)
- A pen and paper for working out
- A scientific calculator
This setup allows us to focus fully on learning, without travel delays or other disruption.
